Carolyn

Meet Carolyn, our ray of sunshine, an example of vulnerability, authenticity, kindness and love that you feel in every conversation you share with her. Carolyn is community and her ability to make everyone feel seen, heard and loved is a superpower. 

  • How many years have you been practicing/teaching? 

    Yoga has been a part of my life since childhood, with my practice deepening in my teens as I began practicing at home. My journey eventually led me to PYC Mississauga, where I started as an energy exchange student and grew into a teacher. I have been teaching since 2022, and through teaching, I’ve discovered a deeper love for yoga and the meaningful ways it continues to shape my life. 

  • Why you love to teach? 

    I love to teach because when I do, the rest of the world falls away. I get to be with like-minded people moving and getting stronger, both mentally and physically. When I teach, I’m authentically me. For that one hour, it’s just me and my students, fully present together. Watching my students move through class with such strength and grace is incredibly inspiring. I’m deeply grateful to be able to share what I love with this wonderful community. 

  • What students can expect from your class? 

    When students walk into my class, they’re met with authenticity, kindness, and a safe, welcoming environment—along with a powerful and challenging class. I pay close attention to the details, whether that’s creating a thoughtful, deep flow sequence or curating the perfect playlist. My intention is for students to feel uplifted and supported before, during, and after class. We work hard, relax harder, and have a whole lot of fun and giggles along the way!

    Half pigeon, Triangle or Half moon 

  • 3 words a friend would use to describe you? 

    Compassionate, Fun-loving, Big heart 

    PYC Mississauga is where I began my teaching journey, and it’s a place that has shaped me in so many ways. I’ve grown tremendously here and wouldn’t be who I am today without this studio. This beautiful community holds such a special place in my heart, and anyone who steps into the space can feel the love that surrounds it
