Meet Ashley, our loyal, energetic, loving teacher. Ashley shows up to every room she enters with a smile and a positive energy that is contagious. We are so lucky to have your warm, kind, and loving energy at our studio. 

  • How many years have you been teaching / practicing? Why do you love to teach?

    I’ve been teaching yoga since 2010 and practicing since I was 18 years old. Yoga has given me tools that have carried me through some of the most challenging times in my life. 

    Sharing this practice is my way of paying that forward — using yoga as a vehicle for personal transformation in others. It’s truly some of the most rewarding work I’ve ever done. 

  • What students can expect from your class? 

    In my classes, we always begin with a seated meditation to keep the practice authentic and grounded. From there, we move through a powerful, rigorous, and energy-uplifting flow designed to leave you feeling inspired and alive. 

    One of the signature parts of my classes is that I’m willing to share about my own life and experiences — I do this to use my story as an invitation for you to reflect on yours. 

    You can expect more than just poses in my classes — you’ll also get real conversation, connection, and discovery along the way.

  • Your favourite yoga pose? 

    My favorite pose is Half Pigeon — that moment of melting into the floor after all the work just hits differently. It’s also my favorite pose to get assisted in, so never hesitate to request it. When you’re assisted here, it opens up a whole new world of release — it’s literally the best feeling ever. 

  • 3 words to describe you? 

    Three words that describe me: loving, authentic, and empowering. 

    Teaching at Power Yoga Canada Mississauga is truly my home away from home. I can’t wait to meet you on your mat — and give you a big hug!
